Metal tubes are, nowadays preferred for the construction of gas and oil pipeline. The choice of tubes usually depends not only on the project requirements, but also on the conditions and the impact of the environment on them. Among the most used metal pipes are the steel tubes, because of their good strength characteristics. The main disadvantage of a steel tube is their susceptibility to corrosion, which affects both the outer and the inner surfaces of the pipeline. Among the most vulnerable are the underground laid pipelines.
